Too many brilliant women are stretched thin, silenced by burnout, and stuck in survival mode. If you’re an overwhelmed working mom, you’re not alone. You might be holding everything together at work and home, but falling apart inside.
In this raw, real interview on the Reawakened Mom Podcast (Episode 112), hosted by Melissa Clampitt and titled “How Do You Bridge the Gap Between Providing and Presence?”, I share exactly how I navigated corporate burnout, overcame mom guilt, and built a life rooted in peace, presence, and power. What you are about to hear isn’t a fairytale. Instead, it’s a roadmap.

When Burnout Breaks You Before Breakfast
I spent over 20 years in leadership and corporate sales. I was a high-achiever who looked like I had it all together. However, under the surface, stress and performance pressure were eroding my peace. Eventually, after watching colleagues break under toxic work environments and as my own health began to suffer, I made a decision: I wasn’t going to die proving a point.
So, I walked away. Not into chaos, but into clarity.
“In the end, I was right,” Tamira says. “Because now I’m present for my kids. I’m front row at my grandson’s games. I’m not begging for time off. I’m living in peace.”
Redefining What It Means to Provide
From Corporate Pressure to Family Presence
For years, I carried the full weight of provision. I raised two daughters on my own, climbed ladders, managed teams, and still came home to be “mom.” That weight had a cost. At the time, I couldn’t always be emotionally available. Although I was physically present, I often felt mentally drained.
As a result, everything looks different today.
Consequently, my grandchildren know a version of me that my children didn’t get to have. A Nana who is available, joyful, and attentive. Not just surviving, but showing up fully.
Provision Without Sacrifice
I didn’t stop providing. Instead, I changed the source. By moving into entrepreneurship, I leveraged my decades of experience into digital marketing strategy and coaching work that aligns with my values and honors my family.
“I get to be present, and I get to be profitable. I had to unlearn the idea that it had to be one or the other.”
